If I wish / If only.

Por ejemplo, si una persona dice "If I were a bird, I would fly", está haciendo una suposición basada en la condición "If I were a bird". Las formas If I wish / If only son una simplificación de estas expresiones, que se utilizan más para desafíos o promesas, por ejemplo, "If only I could be as fast as a cheetah!" o "If I wish I could fly! "

Ejemplo

Ejemplo: "If I were a bird, I would fly."

Ejercicios

If she had studied medicine, she ___ a doctor now.

I wish I ___ (speak) French fluently.
