Third Conditional
Used for imaginary situations in the past (things that did NOT happen).
If + Past Perfect, would have + past participle
If I had studied harder, I would have passed the exam. (But I did not study, so I did not pass.)
Ejemplo resuelto
"If she had left earlier, she would have caught the train."
Reality: She did NOT leave earlier, so she missed the train.
The Third Conditional is often used to express regret or criticism about the past.
