1. Before reading: Look at the title, pictures and headings. Predict what the text is about.

Last summer, my family and I went to the beach in Málaga. We stayed in a small hotel near the sea for one week. Every morning, we got up early and had breakfast at the hotel. Then we walked to the beach.

The weather was hot and sunny every day. My brother and I swam in the sea and built sandcastles. My parents read books and relaxed under a big umbrella. In the afternoon, we usually had ice cream at a café near the beach.

One day, we visited the old town of Málaga. We saw the Alcazaba and the Picasso Museum. It was very interesting. We also tried some delicious local food: gazpacho and fried fish.

It was the best holiday ever! I want to go back next summer.
