El resultado, que lleva will + verbo en forma base: ...I will stay at home.
Estructura: If + presente simple, will + verbo.
If it rains, I will stay at home. (Si llueve, me quedaré en casa.)
Cosas importantes que debes recordar:
Nunca ponemos will en la parte de if. Se dice If it rains, no If it will rain.
Con he, she o it, el presente simple lleva -s: If she studies, she will pass.
Las dos partes pueden cambiar de orden. Si empezamos por if, ponemos una coma: If you hurry, you will catch the bus. Si empezamos por el resultado, no hace falta coma: You will catch the bus if you hurry.
En la negativa usamos don't / doesn't en la parte de if y won't (= will not) en el resultado: If you don't eat, you will be hungry. If you shout, the baby won't sleep.
En la lengua hablada, will se contrae: I'll, you'll, she'll, we'll, they'll.
What will you do if it snows? (¿Qué harás si nieva?) Will you come if I invite you? (¿Vendrás si te invito?)
El primer condicional se usa para avisos, promesas y planes: If you touch the fire, you will burn your hand. (aviso) If you help me, I will give you a sweet. (promesa).
Ejemplo
Ejemplo 1. Completa: If Sara ___ (finish) her homework, she ___ (play) in the park.
Parte con if → presente simple. Sara = she, así que lleva -es: finishes.
Resultado → will + verbo: will play.
Solución: If Sara finishes her homework, she will play in the park.
Ejemplo 2. Completa en negativa: If you ___ (not wear) a coat, you ___ (be) cold.
Parte con if, negativa en presente: don't wear.
Resultado: will be.
Solución: If you don't wear a coat, you will be cold. (Si no te pones abrigo, tendrás frío.)
Ejercicios
If it ___ tomorrow, we will stay at home.
If you don't study, you ___ the exam.

📖 Reading comprehension
Read about Laura's bad day:
Yesterday was a terrible day for Laura. She woke up late because she didn't hear the alarm. She got dressed quickly and ran to the bus stop, but the bus had already left. She had to walk to school. She arrived late and the teacher told her to sit down quietly. During the Maths class, she forgot her calculator at home. At lunch time, she lost her wallet in the playground. Her friend found it and gave it back to her. In the afternoon, it began to rain and she didn't have an umbrella. She got home very wet and cold. She took a hot shower, ate some soup and went to bed early. What a day!
Questions: 1. Why did Laura wake up late? ___ 2. Did she catch the bus? ___ 3. What did she forget at home? ___ 4. What did she lose? ___ 5. Who found her wallet? ___ 6. What did she do when she got home? ___
✏️ Ejercicios
1. Escribe el pasado de estos verbos: a) go → ___ b) eat → ___ c) see → ___ d) take → ___ e) buy → ___ f) think → ___ g) know → ___ h) break → ___ i) speak → ___ j) lose → ___ k) find → ___ l) win → ___
2. Completa la historia con el pasado correcto: Last Saturday, I ___ (go) to the cinema with my friends. We ___ (see) a funny film. We ___ (eat) popcorn and ___ (drink) lemonade. After the film, we ___ (take) the bus home. I ___ (have) a great time!
→ ___ d) ¿Viste a María? → ___
Irregular verbs memory game: 1.
