Texto 1: A Letter from London
📖 Reading comprehension
Dear Carlos,
How are you? I'm writing to you from London! I came here with my family last week for a holiday. We are staying in a hotel near the River Thames.
Yesterday we visited the Tower of London. It was amazing! It's a very old castle — almost 1,000 years old. We saw the Crown Jewels. They were beautiful and very shiny. There were also some ravens (big black birds) in the tower. The guide told us that the ravens must always stay in the tower, or the kingdom will fall!
Today we are going to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guard. Tomorrow we want to visit the Natural History Museum — they have a huge dinosaur skeleton!
The weather here is very different from Spain. It's quite cold and it rains a lot. I'm wearing a warm coat and carrying an umbrella every day!
I bought you a small present — a red London bus toy. I hope you like it!
See you next week! Your friend, Ana

Texto 2: The School Fair
📖 Reading comprehension
Last Friday, our school had a big fair. All the students and teachers worked together to prepare it. The fair started at 10 o'clock in the morning.
There were many different stalls. Class 5A had a cake stall — they made delicious chocolate cakes and cookies. Class 5B organised a book exchange: you could bring an old book and take a new one for free! Class 6A had a face-painting stall. I painted my face like a tiger — it was really cool!
There were also games. My favourite was the obstacle course in the playground. You had to run, jump, crawl under a net and climb a rope. The fastest student won a medal. I didn't win, but I had a lot of fun.
At lunchtime, there was a barbecue with hamburgers and hot dogs. In the afternoon, there was a concert. Some students played the guitar and sang songs. It was a fantastic day!
Questions: 1. When was the school fair? ___ 2. What did Class 5A sell? ___ 3. What could you do at the book exchange? ___ 4. What did the narrator paint on his/her face? ___ 5. What was the narrator's favourite game? ___ 6. Did the narrator win the obstacle course? ___ 7. What did they eat for lunch? ___ 8. What happened in the afternoon? ___
