Advanced exercises
- Write the rules for a museum, a hospital, and a cinema (2 rules each using must/mustn't).
- Compare must, should, and can. Write a sentence with each about: eating healthy, driving, and school.
- Write a set of 6 rules for an ideal classroom using must/mustn't/should.
- Read these signs and write sentences: "No smoking" -> "You mustn't smoke." Do the same for: "Silence", "Wear gloves", "No photos", "Keep left".
- Create a poster with 5 rules for protecting the environment, using must and mustn't.
Topic summary- Must: strong obligation (you have to do it). "You must wear a uniform."
- Mustn't: prohibition (you are not allowed). "You mustn't run in the corridor."
- Should: advice (a good idea). "You should eat fruit every day."
- After must/mustn't/should, use the base verb (NO "to"): must go (NOT must to go).
- Must is the same for all persons: I must, he must, they must (no "musts").
