Where are things? Prepositions of place
Prepositions tell us where something is:
in
inside
in the box
on
on top of
on the table
under
below
under the bed
next to
beside
next to the door
between
in the middle
between the chairs
behind
at the back
behind the tree
Example
The cat is on the sofa.
The ball is under the table.
The school is between the park and the library.
My house is next to the supermarket.
Remember
Combine There is/are with prepositions:
There is a lamp on the desk.
There are books in the bookcase.
