Ejemplo resuelto
Regular verbs: "Yesterday I ___ (play) in the park."
Solution: "Yesterday I played in the park." For regular verbs, add -ed to make the past: play -> played, watch -> watched, visit -> visited. Spelling: study -> studied (y -> ied), stop -> stopped (double consonant).
Ejemplo resuelto
Verb "to be" in the past: "I ___ at school yesterday."
Solution: "I was at school yesterday." Was = I, he, she, it. Were = you, we, they. "She was happy." "They were tired."
Ejercicios
1. Write the past simple of: play, watch, listen, visit, help, cook, clean, study.
2. Complete with was or were:
a) I ___ at home yesterday.
b) They ___ in the park.
c) She ___ happy.
d) We ___ tired.
e) It ___ sunny.
3. Write 5 sentences about what you did yesterday.
4. Make negative: I was tired -> I wasn't tired. They played -> They didn't play.
5. Draw what you did last weekend and write sentences.
