Nunca pongas will ni would en la parte del if: incorrecto If it will rain.
be (en el tiempo de la frase activa) + past participle (+ by + agente).
Al contar lo que dijo otra persona, el verbo suele retroceder un tiempo y cambian pronombres y expresiones de tiempo:
say no lleva persona detrás; tell sí: She said that… / She told me that…
Ejemplo 1. I ___ (never / be) to Ireland, but I ___ (go) to Scotland last summer.
«Never» sin momento concreto → Present Perfect: have never been. «Last summer» es un momento concreto → Past Simple: went.
Ejemplo 2. Pasa a pasiva: The police are investigating the robbery.
Tiempo: Present Continuous → is being + participio. Solución: The robbery is being investigated by the police.
Ejemplo 3. Pasa a estilo indirecto: "I will call you tomorrow," Ana said to me.
will → would; you → me; tomorrow → the next day. Solución: Ana told me (that) she would call me the next day.
Ejemplo 4. Completa con el modal adecuado: You ___ bring food to the library. It is forbidden.
«It is forbidden» indica prohibición → mustn't. No vale don't have to, que significa «no es necesario».
Ejemplo 5. Corrige el error: If I will see Pedro, I will give him your message.
En el First Conditional, la parte del if va en Present Simple: If I see Pedro, I will give him your message.
Ejemplo 6. ¿Past Simple o Past Continuous? When we ___ (arrive), they ___ (have) dinner.
La llegada es una acción corta → arrived; la cena estaba en curso → were having.
If I ___ more free time, I would learn Japanese.
Choose the correct passive: "They built this castle in 1450."
Reported speech: "I am tired," Laura said.
While I ___ TV, the phone rang.
