Advanced reading passage:
The Amazon Rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world. It covers parts of nine countries in South America, but most of it is in Brazil. The Amazon is home to millions of species of plants, animals and insects. Scientists believe that many species have not been discovered yet. The forest produces a lot of oxygen and absorbs a lot of carbon dioxide, which is why people call it "the lungs of the Earth". Unfortunately, humans are cutting down trees every day for farming and wood. This is called deforestation, and it is a serious problem for our planet.
